Madama Butterfly - Artists in Conversation is a free panel discussion featuring artists from Opera Colorado's production of Puccini's Madama Butterfly, held at the Chambers Grant Salon at the Ellie Caulkins Opera House. The production, directed by Mo Zhou and set during Japan's Rokumeikan era, frames the opera not as a tragic romance but as a story of survival, power, and resilience. Soprano Eri Nakamura stars as Cio-Cio-San alongside tenor Joseph Dennis, mezzo-soprano Kristen Choi, and baritone Levi Hernandez, with the Opera Colorado Orchestra and Chorus led by Music Director Ari Pelto.
