The Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra opens its 2026-27 season with a program exploring destiny and transformation, directed by Jacinda M. Bouton. The concert features Verdi's overture to La Forza del Destino, Sercy by Hilary Purrington, Hugo Alfvén's Swedish Rhapsody No. 1, and Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. Purrington's piece was selected as the winner of the orchestra's inaugural Composition Competition from 118 submissions.
