Inspire Creative, a performing arts company based in Colorado, announces their musical production of SHREK The Musical opening Thursday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m. and continues Friday, September 19 at 7:30 pm., Saturday, September 20 at 7:30 pm., and Sunday, September 21 at 2:00pm. Shows continue on Thursday, September 25 at 7:30 pm., Friday, September 26 at 7:30 pm., and Saturday, September 27 at 7:30 pm. El Centro Su Teatro's ENRIQUE'S JOURNEY Begins Tonight

Denver's Chicano cultural-arts group El Centro Su Teatro is just a year shy of celebrating a silver anniversary as a cohesive center, and while artistic director Tony Garcia is planning new work for that big occasion, he's decided to celebrate the past first, by bringing back a whole season's worth of audience favorites. It all begins tonight with the return of 2011's Enrique's Journey, Garcia's taut adaptation of journalist Sonia Nazario's book of the same name.

The national tour of Pippin launched in Denver this week, and host of 'In Focus' Eden Lane sat down for a one-on-one with composer/lyricist Stephen Schwartz (GODSPELL, WICKED, Pippin, and more). Lane also met the director and driving force behind this re-imagined Pippin, Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus. This episode also includes highlights with cast members Matthew James Thomas as Pippin, Lucie Arnaz as Berthe, Sasha Allen (a finalist on the 4th season on THE VOICE) as Leading Player, and Tony Award-winner John Rubinstein, who created the role of Pippin in the 1972 original Broadway production. How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying is directed by Robert Wells, recently at Town Hall directing the 2014 production of Boeing-Boeing. Musical direction is by Donna Kolpan Debreceni, Henry Award Winner, The Who's Tommy and choreographed by Kelly Kates, most recently here for the 2014 production of The Music Man.

Academy Award-Winner Olympia Dukais to Voice Role in Enda Wash's MISTERMAN, 9/26-10/12

"Misterman" enjoyed sold-out runs and glowing reviews from audiences and critics when it premiered at the 2011 Galway Arts Festival, followed by the New York premiere at St. Ann's Warehouse. "Misterman" is headed to Colorado with the news that Mr. Walsh's critically acclaimed hit play, will feature Olympia Dukakis voicing the role of Mammy. The play will be directed by Melissa Firlit and the role of Thomas Magill will be played by New York actor Craig MacArthur. "Misterman" opens at the Thingamajig Theatre Company's 99-seat black box on September 26th and runs through October 12th. The production will then relocate to Denver this fall before returning to New York in spring of 2015.
