Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr at The Everett Theatre

Just two hour before the young cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Jr. were to take the stage for their final dress rehearsal the state shut down for the two week “flatten the curve” state of emergency. Costumes were hung, sets were in place, props on shelves, but most upsetting is the youth who were about to take the stage for a life changing moment was halted.

After an 18 month hiatus the cast and crew are ready to finally bring Live to stage Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Jr. Sets were brought from storage, props dusted off, and all of the costumes had to be refitted. The cast then seven to 17 are now two years older. Some have gone from middle school to high school and two moved on to college.

The entire production team came back to ensure the show went on and they would get a chance to bring to life the show that had auditions in the fall of 2019 for what would have been a March 2020 production.
We hope you can come support this resilient hard-working cast that has relearned all of the numbers, are diligently wearing their masks on stage due to the younger cast members under 12, and take a fantastic musical adventure with an out-of-this-world car that flies through the air and sails the seas.
Based on the record-breaking West End production and the beloved film, and featuring an unforgettable score by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang JR. is one blockbuster that audiences will find "Truly Scrumptious."
