About this studio
Woodbridge School of Dance was established in 1978 by Jacqui O'Shaughnessy and has grown from a one-room studio into one of the largest dance facilities in Middlesex County, New Jersey, now operating from 1308 St. Georges Avenue in Avenel with Barbara Vari as owner and director and a faculty of around twenty teachers across three studio rooms. The weekly schedule runs a ten-month September to June session and covers ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acro and tumbling, musical theatre, jumps/leaps/turns, and strength and conditioning, from combination classes for ages 2.5 to 3.5 up through teen and advanced levels. An optional recital is held each June, with costume ordering beginning in December, and make-up classes are offered for missed sessions.
