Webby Dance Company

WEBBY Dance Company of Central Florida, owned by Lindsay Burton and based in the Tampa/Lakeland area, is a local franchise of a movement-education program that has been teaching children for over 30 years and delivers classes at schools around the country. Rather than a conventional studio track, WEBBY places its instructors into schools and preschools to run enrichment classes. Programs start with a 30-minute toddler class for two-year-olds built on creative movement and storytelling with weekly themes and hand props, and continue through a 45-minute preschool combination class for ages 3 to 5 covering ballet, creative movement, tap and tumbling using a curriculum of more than 250 choreographed routines. Elementary-age options include a tap and jazz combination class, a jazz and hip-hop class touching on broadway, modern and contemporary styles, a cheer class, an all-boys creative movement and tumbling class, and a gymnastics class using beam, mini trampoline and tumbling stations. The company stages annual recitals for its dancers.
