Toeprints Dance Studio, in Geneva, New York, works under the tagline 'How Dancers Leave Their Mark' and teaches children from preschool age through advanced students. Preschool classes for 3 and 4 year olds are built on ballet technique but center on creative movement in a 45-minute weekly class, while combination classes introduce younger students to both ballet and tap before they choose a discipline; the studio places students by ability rather than age, so a dancer may stay at one level for a year or more. Older students can study ballet in several styles, pointe (which requires several years of ballet first), tap from 1940s classic through rhythm tap, lyrical, jazz, hip hop taught with family-friendly music, Irish dance in soft and hard shoe, and a Broadway Production class combining acting, dance and optional singing at two levels for all ages.
