San Diego Academy of Ballet (SDAB) is a classical ballet school at 4696 Ruffner Street in San Diego, California, teaching a Vaganova-based syllabus and describing itself as committed to preserving the purity of Russian classicism. Every pre-professional instructor is an SDAB alumnus trained by the school's founders. Classes run year-round with rolling enrollment, beginning with Pre-Ballet for ages 3 to 5 and progressing through graded Ballet 1 to Ballet 4, an invitation-only Merit class for students pursuing a professional career, and a dedicated boys' ballet class used both by aspiring dancers and as cross-training for sports. Open adult classes at absolute-beginner and intermediate level are offered on a drop-in or class-card basis for ages 13 and up.
