About this studio
DanzArts is a San Diego non-profit (501(c)(3)) dance organization specializing in Mexican and Spanish dance and music. Its mission is to provide a space for artistic and cultural expression while preserving and raising awareness of the cultures of Mexico and Spain within San Diego County. The organization runs resident dance companies as well as a class program for both children and adults, taught at The Dance Place in Liberty Station. Children's Ballet Folklorico is offered at beginner level for ages 5 to 9 and intermediate level for ages 10 to 12, covering footwork, skirt work and technique plus repertoire performed at seasonal recitals and community events. DanzArts also presents public productions such as its Raices y Ritmos show and is supported by donations.
