About this studio
The Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit school in Ridgefield, Connecticut, describing itself as a pre-professional performing arts school dedicated to educating students to become knowledgeable, passionate and thoughtful artists. Programs run from a Young Dancers Program for ages 1 through first grade, into elementary, middle and high school levels, adult classes and private instruction. Ballet technique is the foundation, taught through a syllabus drawing on French, Vaganova and American methods, with pointe by assessment. RCD also has a strong modern program rooted in Graham and Horton technique, plus jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary. Students perform in The Nutcracker and the Ridgefield Civic Ballet.
