About this studio
The Dancing School has taught in Selma, California for over 50 years, operating three studios at 2013 2nd Street. It was founded by Deanna Moser Driscoll, a former San Francisco Ballet dancer and co-founder of the Fresno Jazz Company, and is now directed by her daughter Beth Zobian. Classes cover ballet, jazz, tap, creative dance, contemporary workshops and adult ballet, with private lessons available. The school year runs September to June, ending in a recital, with an annual Nutcracker in December. Its performing group, The 2nd Street Dancers, auditions students aged seven to adult each autumn and has toured to China, Greece, Italy, Mexico and Cuba. Tuition is kept low with steep multi-class discounts.
