Hollywood Ballroom Dance Center is a social ballroom venue and dance school in Silver Spring, Maryland, claiming the largest dance floor in the Baltimore/Washington DC area and operating a floating sprung floor plus a smaller studio and an on-site cafe. It is a member of the National Ballroom and Entertainment Association. Teaching covers all styles of ballroom, West Coast swing and the Latin dances, delivered through monthly Learn to Dance beginner group courses with no contracts, multi-week evening classes on a single dance, group lessons held an hour before most evening dances, private lessons and open practice sessions; no partner is needed. Instructors teach International Standard and Latin, American Smooth and Rhythm, country western, swing and hustle/club dances, and coach amateur and professional competitors including pro-am partnerships through pre-bronze to gold syllabus and open-level figures. Wedding first-dance lessons and specialty workshops are also offered, and the ballroom hosts regular social dances and private event rentals.
