The Alabama Youth Ballet Company

Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre and School (AYBT) is a non-profit ballet company and school at 1405-D Weatherly Plaza SE in Huntsville, Alabama. Its stated mission is to provide high quality dance instruction to the student athlete, offer accessibility and outreach to the community, and preserve historic dance styles for the next generation. The school pairs the AYBT Company with classes in ballet and pointe, a boys' ballet track, modern, tap, jazz, theatrical dance, Irish dance, DanceFUN, and music and movement for the youngest students, plus teen and adult classes. Irish classes introduce sean nos, ceili and social dancing with live music where possible. Summer 2026 classes began 8 June, the 2026-27 season starts 3 August, and summer intensives with guest teachers are offered.
