Corky Bell Dance Studio

Corky Bell School of Dance represents around 70 years of dance tradition in the Birmingham, Alabama metro area and operates several studios in and around the city. It teaches all levels from beginner to advanced for students aged two and a half through adult, with classes in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, baton, gymnastics and creative movement, plus special workshops in drama, singing, ballroom, cheernastics, hip hop and pageant preparation. Private lessons are available in every subject, and there is a dedicated preschool program. Studios are equipped with mirrors, ballet barres, sprung wood floors and closed-circuit TV so parents can watch. Advanced students may join tap and jazz competition teams, and the curriculum also prepares students for dance team, majorette and cheerleading tryouts. Students perform throughout the year at community events including local Christmas parades, the Hoover Met and retirement homes. The studio also hosts birthday parties.
