About this studio
The Dance Foundation, formerly Children's Dance Foundation, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit at 1715 27th Court South in Homewood, Alabama, which has been bringing dance to the Greater Birmingham area for 50 years. Its mission is to make dance education accessible to everybody, and classes are open to people of all ages and abilities, whether beginning, returning or already dancing. Programming starts as young as age one with Moving Together for 1- and 2-year-olds taken alongside a grown-up, followed by independent Movement to Music classes for 2- and 2.5-year-olds, and continues through creative dance and ballet/modern classes for older children and teens.
