About this studio
Celtic Traditions School of Irish Dance is a certified Irish dance school founded by Amanda, based at 2705 Frederick Road in Opelika, Alabama, with a second location serving the Birmingham/Pelham area. It teaches traditional Irish dance from pre-school age through adults, running graded classes alongside free introductory classes each August: in Auburn/Opelika for ages 3-5, 6-12, teens and adults, and in Birmingham/Pelham for ages 2.5-4, 5-12, teens and adults. Registration for the 2026-2027 season is open and handled online. The school performs at community events and takes booking enquiries, and its work teaching Irish dance in the Deep South has been covered by WRBL and the Opelika-Auburn News.
