Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre

Alabama Youth Ballet Theatre is a non-profit ballet company and school at 1405-D Weatherly Plaza SE in Huntsville, Alabama. Its stated mission is to provide high quality dance instruction that educates the student athlete in the highest standards of dance performance while providing accessibility and outreach to the community and preserving historic dance styles for the next generation of dancers. The AYBT School teaches ballet and pointe, boys' ballet, modern, tap and jazz, Irish dance, theatrical dance, DanceFUN, music and movement for young children, and teen and adult classes, alongside additional classes; the AYBT Company gives students performance opportunities. Summer classes and guest-artist intensives run each June, with the school year beginning in August. The organization is supported by Arts Huntsville, the Alabama State Council on the Arts and sponsorships, and offers the Keren Gibb Hilliard Scholarship.
