Studio of Dance Arts

While there are some fine teachers who do not have a formal education, the better teachers are usually those who are college educated. In a college or university, the students not only are trained to dance but also are trained to teach. In addition, they usually take psychology and physiology classes to learn how to deal with the emotions of the students and to know which muscles are used in various dance movements. An improperly trained teacher can cause injuries that often do not show up until after a student has stopped dancing.
