About this studio
Studio East Dance Center is located on Old Riverhead Road in Westhampton Beach, New York. Its stated mission is to teach proper dance technique while encouraging creativity and individuality, with a caring and experienced staff and a goal of creating a fun and challenging environment built on mutual respect. The youngest students begin in Tiny Dancers 1, a creative movement and beginning ballet class that also teaches how to work in a classroom setting, and progress to Tiny Dancers 2 and 3 combining ballet, jazz and tap. Older students can take jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, hip hop, tumbling and musical theatre. Ballet is mandatory for all competition students and recommended for everyone else, and tumbling students incorporate their skills into a recital dance.
