About this studio
Steps on Stage Academy of Performing Arts is a dance studio in Benson, North Carolina, celebrating 15 years of teaching under the motto "Be the best you ever". Its teaching staff hold BFA degrees and continue their training by taking master classes in Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. The academy begins with combo classes for preschool-age and first-time movers such as Tippy Toes, Tap and Tumble and Ballet & Tap/Tapping Tutus, then opens into a levelled recreational program of ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acrobatics, improvisation, conditioning, jumps-leaps-and-turns, pre-pointe and pointe. Most classes lead to an end-of-year recital. Alongside this the studio runs an auditioned competitive company whose members take company-only classes on top of their recreational schedule and compete at multiple events. The studio has a chapter of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts.
