The Ballet and Performing Arts Center (BPAC) is a dance school in the Winston-Salem area of North Carolina, now marking 30 years of teaching. Its curriculum is built on classical ballet technique taught through levels, with barre and center work, pre-pointe and pointe, alongside jazz, tap, hip hop and contemporary. Preschool classes introduce young children to rhythm, shape and self-expression through movement and props in 45-minute sessions. BPAC produces The Nutcracker each year plus a spring show, and performance opportunities are open but not mandatory. An auditioned competition team requires a season-long contract and attends roughly two to three competitions a year; team members must take ballet, jazz and contemporary. Summer camps and private lessons are also offered.
