About this studio
Starlight Dance Center at 7 High Street in Nutley, New Jersey has taught ballroom and Latin social dancing to adults since January 2003. Its adult program covers group classes, private lessons, weekly social dance parties, theme parties, special events and showcases, and caters to everyone from complete beginners to competitive dancers; no partner is required. Alongside the adult ballroom side, Starlight runs a children's program for ages 2.5 to 17 with classes in hip hop, ballet, lyrical, tap, jazz and ballroom. The children's season runs from September to June with new students also welcomed in January, and pupils perform in recitals twice a year in June and December. The studio is a co-producer of the Empire dance competition at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, New York, which draws professional and amateur competitors internationally.
