Star Quality Dance & Cheer Center

Star Quality Dance and Cheer Center was established on April 1, 2005 and operates from a red brick building at 275 S. Lawrence Blvd in downtown Keystone Heights, Florida, serving the Lake Area community for over twenty years under the motto 'Where EVERY Child Shines Like a Star'. It teaches ballet, pointe, contemporary ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, cheerleading and tumbling to boys and girls aged 3 to 18, with recreational, competition and private classes. Classes are levelled by age and teacher placement, from Beginning Ballet and Tiny Tots Tumbling for ages 3 to 6 through to advanced ballet, jazz and pointe; a combined cheerleading and hip hop class for ages 4 to 8 requires no try-outs. The competition team is by teacher invitation and enters two to three competitions a year. Students perform in a Christmas showcase in December and a recital in June, and a summer program runs from late June. Owner and instructor Toni Mellone-Brunt holds two performing arts degrees from the Florida School of the Arts. The parent waiting area has closed-circuit television for viewing classes.
