About this studio
Star Dance School teaches ballroom, Latin and street dance from studios at 323 Washington St, Brighton, and in Newton, serving the wider Boston area. It runs private lessons and group classes for children aged 2 to 17 and adults 18 and over, spanning competitive DanceSport and Pro-Am ballroom and Latin from beginner to championship level, social ballroom and Latin (salsa, bachata, merengue, hustle, swing, mambo, cha cha cha, rumba, samba, jive, paso doble, waltz, tango, foxtrot, quickstep), and street dance including hip hop, breakdance, locking, popping, krumping, voguing, waacking and house, with competitive dance crews as well as recreational classes. It also offers ballet, jazz and modern classes for adults and children from age 2, an introduction to dance for toddlers, Zumba and dance fitness, and first wedding dance instruction with discounted packages. Newcomers can take a one-month trial of unlimited group classes plus an introductory private lesson. The studio produces dance shows for weddings and events and rents studio space.
