About this studio
Salsa y Control is a Boston Latin dance company and school teaching salsa and bachata, with classes at two locations, Allston and Cambridge. The group began in 1999 when brothers Johnny and Andres started performing salsa duets, expanded into partner work with Johnny and Felicita, and was formally established as Salsa y Control Dance Company in 2003; the Salsa y Control Dance Studio opened in Allston in 2008 under Andres and Leah. Classes are pitched at all levels in a beginner-friendly, welcoming setting, taught by a team of instructors including Kelly S, Andres, Tara, Johnny, Kelly B, Vanessa and Lumyr.
