About this studio
River Oaks Dance has taught children in Houston since 2005 and now runs classes at two studios, River Oaks on Westheimer Road and Tanglewood on Woodway Drive. Owned by Sara Carbo, the school deliberately offers high-quality dance education without a competitive atmosphere, with small classes and fall, spring and summer sessions plus two performance opportunities a year. Programming starts with Dance with Me Intellidance caregiver-and-baby classes from three months, Little Leapers for toddlers, and Ready, Set, Leap! creative movement for ages 2.5-3.5. From there dancers progress through Leap N Learn pre-ballet, Pre-Primary and Primary Ballet, and Academy Ballet Levels 1-4, and may add tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, cheer and pom, or ballroom.
