Performing Arts Abroad (PAA), based at 3 Ferry Street in Easthampton, Massachusetts, is not a local dance studio but an organization that arranges international performing arts programs in dance, music, theatre and film. It runs more than 30 programs across a dozen countries on five continents, including Antigua, Costa Rica, Ecuador, England, France, Ghana, Greece, Ireland, Italy, the Philippines, South Africa, Spain and Uganda, with customised group programs available in over 100 countries. Dance-specific options include a semester at a London university dance program, dance training and cultural immersion in Ghana, a summer dance intensive at the Irish World Academy, dance internships in Barcelona and Ecuador, and dance volunteering in Costa Rica and the Philippines. Participants range from university students and gap-year students to professional artists, faculty designing courses, and studio directors bringing groups. Programs run from one week upward, and scholarships and payment plans are offered.
