North Shore Studio of Dance

North Shore Dance (North Shore Studio of Dance) is at 2 Melville Rd., Huntington Station, New York, and describes itself as a warm, nurturing environment where dancers and their families feel at home, with instructors who place technique and performance first. It runs three programs. Recreational classes focus on learning in a social setting and include intro to dance, creative combo, ballet/tap, tap/jazz, classical ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and lyrical, with all recreational dancers performing in the annual spring recital. The Company program is for more committed dancers, requiring ballet plus Saturday technique workshops, and adding pointe; company levels run from Mini Company to Senior and perform in the Holiday Pageant, The Nutcracker and multiple recitals. The audition-based competition team competes at several regional competitions and one national competition each season. Private one-to-one lessons are available for all ages and levels.
