About this studio
Norma's School of Dance, which also operates as NSD Dance Corp, has been part of the Bethpage, New York community since the early 1960s and teaches multiple generations of local families from its studio at 340 Broadway. It offers classes for ages 2 through adult in tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, musical theater and acro, with recreational classes at all levels and competition groups for beginner, intermediate and advanced dancers. The building has air-conditioned studios with raised flooring and a large reception area, and each studio is fitted with cameras that live-stream to a screen in the lobby so parents can watch. Beyond the studio, students perform at the annual Bethpage Chamber of Commerce holiday lighting, attend dance conventions, and take trips to New York City for Broadway shows and master classes. Summer classes are also offered.
