About this studio
Now & Then Dance Studios opened in Silver Spring, Maryland in 1978 and has since grown to three Washington DC-area locations, in Silver Spring and Rockville, Maryland and Fairfax, Virginia. The studios teach adults of all ages, working with students who come alone or with a partner, and the emphasis is on social and partner dancing rather than competition. Instruction combines private lessons, group classes and weekly social dance parties, and the studio has staged more than 70 student showcase performances. The ballroom and Latin syllabus covers waltz, Viennese waltz, foxtrot, tango, cha cha, rumba, rumba bolero, mambo, samba, merengue, salsa, swing, disco hustle and polka. Wedding first-dance preparation and gift certificates are also offered, and a free introductory private lesson is advertised.
