About this studio
The site now operates as The Las Cruces School of Dance & Music, at 1390 N. Main in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and has provided ballet training for more than 20 years. Its ballet syllabus is based on American Ballet Theatre's National Training Curriculum, and the school also teaches jazz, tap and hip-hop, alongside music instruction in piano, guitar and voice. It is the official school of Borderlands Ballet, and students perform in full-length staged productions; past programs documented in the school's galleries include The Nutcracker, Carmen, Don Quixote, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Alice and A Christmas Carol, with Nutcracker performances running across two December weekends.
