About this studio
Pottstown Dance Theatre, founded in 1964, is a dance school in Pottstown, Pennsylvania serving the Douglassville, Birdsboro, Boyertown, Royersford and Limerick areas. It describes its purpose as exceptional education in the art of dance and has taught students for over sixty years, and has repeatedly been voted Best Dance School by Mercury readers. The school treats performance as integral to dance education, running a year-round curriculum rather than building the year around a single spring recital: students perform in an annual Demonstration Concert and can audition for the PDT Repertory Ensemble and the affiliated Melange Contemporary Dance Company. Classes are offered for both children and adults, and summer dance camps and a six-week summer class session run each year.
