About this studio
Dance Theatre Northwest (DTNW) is a nonprofit dance studio and performing organization at 2811 Bridgeport Way W in University Place, near Tacoma, Washington, with the stated mission of uniting art and community through dance, education and performance. It teaches ballet at all levels alongside tap, jazz and musical theatre, serving students from age 3 through adults and from absolute beginners to advanced dancers. Enrollment is open year-round and a punch-card system lets students pay only for classes attended. New or returning dancers can book private introductory lessons for technique and class placement. DTNW also runs a Junior Company, youth and adult ballet summer intensives, workshops and public performances including a Nutcracker.
