Italia Performing Arts LLC

Italia Performing Arts is a dance school in the northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, teaching at studios in Winchester, Woodstock/Edinburg and Haymarket, the last of which opened in 2025. Its Winchester location is the primary site and offers programs for all ages, including adult classes, while the Woodstock/Edinburg studio focuses on dance and ballet classes for children and teens. Training is rooted in classical technique, with Cecchetti classical ballet at its core alongside acro, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern and musical theatre. The school encourages a holistic approach to study and runs special programs including the Italia Dance Company (ages 6 to 18, by teacher invitation), a teacher training program, and a Dance in Italy study-abroad experience in Florence and Venice. Summer classes and camps are offered at all three studios for students aged 3 through teens, and the school produces an annual Nutcracker. Owner Lorenza Manara Marchi also supports the affiliated non-profit Italia Performing Arts Institute, which funds scholarships for rural and under-served families.
