About this studio
The Institute of Contemporary Dance (ICD) is a community dance space at 1302 Houston Ave, Suite 300 in Houston, Texas, and the school affiliated with Houston Contemporary Dance Company. It was founded by Marlana Doyle, who has over 25 years in dance education, studio management and producing dance concerts, and employs a teaching staff of 27. Programs are grouped into Young Movers for ages 2.5 to 10, running from imaginative movement for 2.5-4 year olds through ballet, jazz, tap and combo classes; the PATH Program for ages 11-18 from beginner to pre-professional level, including pre-pointe and pointe; and adult drop-in classes for ages 16 and up from beginner through advanced and professional levels.
