About this studio
M'Lanie Hunter Dance (MHD) is a family- and child-friendly dance studio at 67 Brookside Avenue in Chester, New York, with accredited instructors. It teaches several genres of dance alongside voice and acting, including classical ballet, contemporary ballet, pointe (restricted to students 12 and over with instructor permission), jazz with a professional-track option for serious dancers, lyrical, modern, tap, hip hop, and Zumba, plus drama classes covering script and scene study, monologues, character development, improvisation and stage terminology. The studio says each student's individual talent is nurtured to allow artistic and personal growth, and that classes begin with a warm-up focused on injury prevention and core and total body strengthening.
