About this studio
Holly Springs School of Dance (HSSOD) has taught in North Carolina's Triangle region for 25 years from its studios at 136 Oakhall Drive in Holly Springs, under founder Marilyn Chappell. The school describes its mission as creating a safe and loving, explicitly non-competitive environment where dancers can express themselves, sharing its work through community connections and "dance adventures" and teaching the whole child. It accommodates both dancers on a pre-professional track and families wanting a recreational commitment of one class a week. Genres taught include ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, contemporary ballet, hip hop and musical theatre, with a dedicated program for pre-school aged dancers and Young Dancer programs.
