About this studio
FUSION Performing Dance Academy (FPDA) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit founded in 2008 and celebrating 18 years in 2026, offering low-cost dance and fitness classes to underserved children and adults in the East Los Angeles and City of Commerce communities. Its executive/artistic director started the academy after being priced out of dance training himself, with the aim of making formal instruction affordable regardless of income. FPDA serves both recreational dancers and aspiring professionals, and states goals of character development, self-confidence, leadership and creative expression, alongside a detailed diversity, equity and inclusion commitment.
