Feet First Dance Inc. is a dance studio at 710 Wheatland Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. It describes itself as a place where students of all ages feel safe to express themselves through dance, providing an age-appropriate education that treats the child, teen and adult as a whole person and challenges them through technique, meaningful content and creative work. Class offerings include creative dance, creative contemporary, pre-ballet/tap, Tot Hop, ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern and contemporary, ballroom, acro dance, private lessons and wedding dance lessons. Students are placed by evaluation rather than age alone: Level 1 starts at age 7, Level 2 at 8, and Levels 3 to 6 at age 10-plus with at least two years' experience, while pointe requires two years of ballet and a readiness assessment. An adult program welcomes dancers of all ages and experience levels. The season runs as two seventeen-to-nineteen-week sessions culminating in a recital, and the studio also runs summer dance camps such as Dive Into Disney, holds open house evenings and rents studio space. Any class can be tried for $20, credited towards tuition on registration.
