About this studio
Dance FX is a family-owned dance studio at 10120 West Oakland Park Blvd in Sunrise, Florida, serving Sunrise and West Fort Lauderdale for more than 30 years under the motto "Movement in a Positive Direction." Programs are age-banded: Mommy & Me and Tiny Dancers from 18 months, preschool dance for ages 3-4, Shorties for roughly 4-7, Juniors for 7-11, and Teens for 11 and up, with advanced training continuing through high school. Styles include ballet, jazz, hip hop, acro and other specialty classes, and no previous experience is required. Competitive Companies give dancers who want more a team training and performance route, while recreational classes lead to recitals and studio events. The studio also runs summer classes and summer camps, and offers new families a free trial class. Studio hours are Monday-Thursday 4:00-9:30pm, Friday 4:00-7:00pm and Saturday 9:30am-1:00pm.
