About this studio
Dance IQ is a dance center serving the Sunrise and Weston area of Broward County, Florida, built around a curriculum written by founder and director Alisa Jacob, a dance education specializt with a Master of Arts in Dance Education and over 30 years of teaching experience. The program emphasises creative and composition-based movement, and every class follows National Dance Education Organization standards. Offerings include Creative Movement Lab classes, Musical Theater combining song, dance and acting, traditional dance forms, and somatic or brain-based dance intended to support children with learning differences. The studio runs summer dance intensives and birthday parties, and deliberately holds no recital, so there are no recital or costume fees.
