About this studio
Seven Hills Dance Studio has taught in Lynchburg, Virginia since 1939, when it opened downtown as the Floyd Ward School of Dancing. It moved to Boonsboro Shopping Center in 1984 and took its present name in 1992, first under Susan Evans and now under owner and artistic director Ryan Moody. The studio teaches ages 2 to 17 on a September to May curriculum culminating in a spring recital, plus a weekly drop-in adult class. Classes progress from creative movement at ages 2 and 3 through age-graded ballet, tap and pre-jazz combination classes to separate ballet, tap, jazz, modern/contemporary, lyrical, hip hop, acro and pre-pointe/pointe classes. Summer camps and a dance company are also offered.
