Edge Dance Studio serves Granite Falls, Hickory and surrounding communities in North Carolina, teaching dancers from 18 months and age 2 through to adults. It is run by director Lacey and describes itself in faith-based terms, quoting Psalm 149:3 on its home page. The program is built in three tiers: a recreational academy covering ballet, hip hop, jazz, acrobatics and other genres for all ages, with two performance opportunities each year in December and May and all-inclusive tuition that covers costumes and recital fees; a Performance Company giving extra community performance opportunities without the time and cost commitment of competition; and a Competition Company for dedicated dancers aged 5 to 18, which requires ballet and technique classes alongside group rehearsals and attends four to five competitions a season. Summer camps and intensives are also offered.
