Diane's School of Dance (DSOD) is at 6800 NW Tower Drive in the Kansas City Northland, Missouri, and is entering its 53rd year of operation under founder Diane Henderson. Diane and her faculty hold that dance training is life training that builds discipline, poise and self-confidence, and the school aims to teach technique in a nurturing, welcoming environment with a focus on fun. The curriculum covers tap, classical ballet, jazz, acrobatics, hip hop, pointe, contemporary and lyrical, taught in small technique classes that run year-round, with private lessons also available year-round. DSOD markets itself as non-competitive, with age-appropriate choreography, costumes and music, affordable tuition, family and multiple-class discounts and no enrollment fees.
