Dancing With Denise

Dancing with Denise has been run by Denise Baller since she opened it in 1985 straight out of high school, and now occupies 1077 Gravel Road in Webster, New York, a building the family remodelled about eleven years ago after moving from Irondequoit; it also houses a CrossFit gym and training center. Denise holds a degree in small business management with a minor in child psychology, taught pre-school physical education, and is certified in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, Zumbini and Zumba for Kids as well as holding a 200-hour Baptiste Yoga teacher training. The studio teaches boys and girls from age 2 upward in a deliberately non-pressure, non-competitive environment, with private and semi-private variety lessons alongside group classes, summer dance camps, Friday Fun Nights, a Halloween twirl, Holiday Elf School, birthday parties and Girl Scout dance badge sessions. Instructors also teach at local daycare centers, and the Happy Feet Dance Crew brings classes to Rochester-area nursing homes. Each year closes with a student recital.
