About this studio
DanceSportVA is a locally owned ballroom and partner dance studio at 5721 Arrowhead Drive in Virginia Beach, Virginia, close to I-264 and I-64 at the Newtown exit and a block from the HRT Newtown Road station. It teaches adults through a mix of one-to-one private lessons with independent instructors and drop-in group classes covering ballroom, smooth, rhythm and swing dances including foxtrot, American tango, American rumba, cha-cha, Peabody, West Coast Swing, salsa and kizomba. Group classes are $15 per session with no partner needed, and monthly series pricing is available; private groups can have a class tailored to them. The studio holds regular ballroom and Sunday dance socials, offers monthly open practice sessions, rents its floor out as an event venue, and is connected to the Virginia Beach Dance Club and the Virginia Beach Dance Challenge competition.
