About this studio
Dance Works Studio operates from 4 Riverside Drive in Utica, New York. It teaches a graded program beginning with a Pre-School ballet/tap class for children aged 2.5 to 4 that focuses on musical awareness, locomotor skills, foot positions and spatial awareness, followed by Primary and a Foundation tap/jazz class for 5 to 7 year olds. Older students progress through Ballet I-V based on a classical syllabus, with pointe introduced at age 11, plus jazz, tap including rhythm tap at higher levels, modern, lyrical and an introductory hip hop class built around conditioning, isolations and combinations to current music.
