About this studio
Dance Mechanix, established in 2012, is a self-described boutique studio at 1 Cutter Mill Road, Suite 1, in Great Neck Plaza, New York. It is deliberately small so it can maintain a safe, positive and family-friendly environment, and it emphasises developing kind and empathetic people alongside dancers. Children's classes are designed for ages five and up and cover ballet, jazz, musical theatre, pom and other genres, taught through progressive lessons that build technique in each style. The studio also fields competition teams, which it says have won National Grand Championships, regional championships, and entertainment, choreography and showmanship awards, plus the 2023 ADCC Studio of Excellence Award, with its World Team taking two Final Five finishes at the World Dance Championship. Recreational classes run alongside the competitive program.
