About this studio
Dance Davidson was founded by Terilynne Muehleisen Knox in January 1984 to provide quality dance instruction for children and teens, and is now in its 41st year. Its stated focus is strong technique and performance, alongside a philosophy that being a good person is the true goal. Classes are organized by age: creative movement at 3-4, a mandatory ballet-and-tap combo for ages 5-8 with jazz as a second class, musical theatre from age 6, and contemporary and modern from age 8. From age 9 students may take ballet, tap, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary, modern, and pre-pointe or pointe by approval. The school also runs performing companies, summer intensives, performing arts camps and summer weekly classes.
