Covenant Ballet Theatre of Brooklyn has taught ballet in South Brooklyn for around 35 years and works from a two-studio building at 251 Avenue U, with changing rooms, lockers, air conditioning and heating, reachable on the N and F trains. Its academy runs 10-month programs following the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, with leveled progressions and professional assessments for advancement. Early Steps takes children aged 2 to 7, meeting once a week for 45 to 60 minutes and using imagery and creative games to build focus, coordination, flexibility and musicality.
